*PRESIDENT WWDP NORTH-CENTRAL ZONE VISIT HEADS OF CHURCHES

As part of activities to ensure huge participation of women in the 2023 Women’s World Day of prayer, the President, North-Central Zone, Pastor Deborah Adaji lead her team of Ambassadors to pay a courtesy visit to Heads of Churches recently in Abuja.
The visit had in attendance the following Ambassadors, Pastor (Mrs) Deborah Adaji, Mother-In-Israel (Arc) Dr Patience Osunkwo,(Head Media & Publicity WWDP) Senior Mother-In-Israel Alaoma, Eldr DNS Betty B Amupitan, Pastor (Mrs) Nike Takpalore,
Barr Florence Udensi,
Ezinne Affiong,
Edna Obieze, and
Mrs Angelina Ogwuche.
The first Church they visited is Methodist Arch Diocese Cathedral ,Abuja and the team was well received by Mrs Nneoma Mopelola Akinwale (Methodist Church Nigeria, Archdiocese of Abuja Women President).
In her opening remarks, the President disclosed that in February her team of Ambassadors would visit all churches under the umbrella of the organization to ensure huge participation of women. She said that the banner for this year’s programme would be displayed and hosted at each of the churches visited.
The theme for this year is ” I heard about you” Ephesians 1:15 and the programme would take place on Friday 3rd of March, 2023 at the National Christian Centre (NCC), Abuja.
All denominations under the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) are expected to grace the occasion.
The denominations includes:
1( Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN)
2) Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN)
3) Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN)/ Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN)
4) Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC)
5) TEKAN and ECWA .
The World Day of prayer (WWDP) is a global Ecumenical movement born out of passion for prayers for all nations of the world.
It is a movement that brings Christian women from different races, cultures and tradition together in fellowship, understanding and action, to observe a common day of prayer in a year. It is celebrated every first Friday in March each year.
It is an interdenominational movement aimed at praying for peace of the nation, progress, and posterity of Christendom.
It is celebrated at all levels, locally, nationally, regionally and internationally by christian women.
