A northern group, Arewa Youth Alliance for 2023, has won its support from All Progressives Congress, APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, describing it as the best presidential material in 2023.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the group’s chairman, Bello Lawan-Bello, called on all political parties to adopt Mr Tinubu as their sole candidate, assuring them that the majority of young people in the North aspire to elect him for the presidency.
Mr Bello added that the leader of the APC has the capacity, national appeal and know-how to lead and unite Nigeria based on his historic achievement as Governor of Lagos State and his “voluminous contribution to the success of President Buhari’s administration.”
“The majority of people in northern Nigeria believe that when the presidency is zoned to the southern part of the country, there is that one person who has the ability, capacity and charisma to lead Nigeria to the promised land and the man is not another. no one but His Excellency, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
“It is a fact that His Excellency Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is a champion of progress and development, as was evident from his background when he was Governor of Lagos State.
“Its policies and actions have resulted in a practical development model which, based on the research conducted, has since been adopted by many states in Nigeria.
“This model is also used by prestigious educational institutions around the world as one of the successful development and economic models of Africa’s largest country.
“The Arewa Youth Alliance for 2023 will spare no effort to ensure that His Excellency Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu becomes the next president of Nigeria in 2023 God willing,” the statement said.
