An Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has sentenced three individuals to death by hanging after they were found guilty of armed robbery against an 87-year-old woman in Ifaki, Ekiti, on June 12, 2024.
The convicted trio β Shadrack Apos (30), Lucky Akpos (33) and Adunola Precious (24) β stole β¦147,000 and a wristwatch from the victim while menaced with a gun and wooden plank.
Justice Lekan Ogunmoye of the court, after reviewing the evidence and testimonies, concluded that their actions constituted conspiracy and armed robbery under the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
He ordered the convicts to βbe hanged by the neck until they are dead.β
